Preventative Care

Annual Physical Examination

An annual physical exam is an important part of your overall health and well-being and is one of the most empowering things you can do for yourself and your family.  Early detection through preventative/diagnostic screenings give you and your provider the best chance to maintain a healthy future.

What to expect during your annual visit

Your physician will conduct an assessment of your overall health that typically includes health history, a breast exam, a pelvic exam, and diagnostic screenings including cervical cancer prevention screening (i.e pap smear) when necessary.  Other screening recommendations will be discussed, including mammography and colonoscopy screenings.

Your provider may also order lab screening tests for hormone levels, cholesterol, thyroid disorders, and diabetes. Our offices offer on-site laboratory services for all of your lab needs. This allows for you to have your lab work performed while in the office for your routine appointments.

It is an opportunity for you to confidentially discuss with your doctor questions you may have about your overall health, reproduction, sexual health, or any other personal health issues.  Learn more about the benefits of an annual exam here.
